After an incredibly successful OCIM Distinguished Lectureship last year that brought together more than 500 Portland area health care providers, students and community members representing countless health disciplines, we are thrilled to be hosting Dr. Tracy Gaudet on May 8. Dr. Gaudet is a pioneer in integrative medicine and healthcare transformation and is a dynamic and inspiring speaker.
About the Lecture
Dr. Gaudet will describe alarming trends in the health status of the US population and examine systemic problems facing our current health care delivery system. She contends that conventional healthcare today places too much emphasis on disease-management with insufficient attention paid to promoting health and wellbeing. Dr. Gaudet offers potential strategies to address these dilemmas, specifically focusing on the unique role that integrative approaches can serve in transforming healthcare. Dr. Gaudet’s patient-centered perspective brings a fresh viewpoint with creative innovations. Her ideas and recommendations provide unique solutions to the healthcare crisis that should be seriously considered by every student, practitioner, educator and patient.
