OCIM was thrilled to present Dr. David Jones, MD, President of the Institute for Functional Medicine and Family Physician, as the 2011 9th Annual OCIM Integrative Medicine Distinguished Lecturer.

About the talk: Creating a therapeutic partnership is as important as having an accurate, objective diagnosis. The starting point of healing is the patient’s experience: “People, not diseases, can heal.” Dr. David Jones will discuss the therapeutic relationship between patient and health care practitioner. He will describe a science-based functional systems medicine model for chronic, complex illness that integrates personalized medicine as well as the appropriate application of evidence-based medicine.
