SAIM

The Student Alliance for Integrative Medicine (SAIM)

SAIM is a student-governed organization comprised of students from all licensed health care professionals.

In Portland, Oregon SAIM builds upon pre-existing partnership between the five healthcare universities that comprise the Oregon Collaborative of Integrative Medicine (OCIM) and is comprised of students from all five OCIM member institutions: the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Pacific University (PU), and the University of Western States (UWS).

Mission

SAIM's mission is to foster collaboration among students of the aforementioned institutions in order to deepen awareness of the contributions of all medical healthcare professions for the purpose of promoting health and optimizing patient care.

Vision

The vision of SAIM is to integrate practice and communication between healthcare professional students across the healthcare continuum. Furthermore, SAIM aims to increase student understanding of the strengths and contributions of OCIM health professions, in order to cultivate a culture of patient-centered healing and care.
